The Lotus Room was inspired by a beautifully decorated bedroom in Udaipur's City Palace. The room was filled with intricate floral motifs, wonderful colours and patterns – all little details that caught Rachel's eye and stayed with her long after her visit.
Originally painted to sit alongside City Palace Petals, the two paintings share a complementary palette and decorative influences. They look particularly striking displayed together as a pair.
