PRINT DETAILS
Part of Rachel's India Collection, Market Spice brings together some of the colour, pattern and decorative details that caught her eye during her travels in Udaipur.
The painting features a traditional Indian toran – a decorative hanging placed above a doorway to welcome guests and invite positive energy into the home. The flowers beneath were inspired by a beautiful wall painting, while the colour palette came from a photograph taken at the spice market – rich, earthy spice tones mixed with flashes of colour from the brightly painted doors behind the stalls.
Originally painted using acrylic, pencil, soft pastel and oil stick.
Limited edition of 25. Signed and numbered by Rachel.
Printed to order with archival inks onto thick, 310gsm Hahnemühle German Etching paper.
Available in A2 (42 × 59.4 cm) and A1 (59.4 × 84.1 cm).
Paper size includes a small white border. Unframed.
