HIDDEN TREASURE

Hidden Treasure was inspired by a tiny antique shop tucked away just off one of Udaipur’s busy streets. Jai Vinayak Arts & Curios felt like an Aladdin’s cave – filled with old tiles, brass elephants, rare gems and all sorts of treasures. We spent hours there with Devendra, the shop’s owner, and Neru, who works alongside him. They welcomed us so warmly and felt like another of the shop’s hidden treasures. The flowers were inspired by pictures hanging on the walls, and I created the block-printed pattern using an antique printing block I found in the shop.
